Apple and Market Set to Rally on Perfect Storm
Gustav was overblown, Oil is heading towards double digits while the US Dollar soars, the futures are up, and Apple is blowing away iPhone numbers! And did you hear that iPhone browser share has hit new highs, increasing 60% over last month, soon to overtake linux desktops? Ok, that’s great, but add to that Dell crumbling, Vista is a flop, the Apple Store is breaking sales records, Microsoft hires Seinfeld in desperation marketing move, etc, etc, etc. It’s the perfect storm for bullish Apple investors!
Let’s add to this storm. Indications are that a new lineup of iPods are on the way. Could we see a new Nano today, or next Tuesday? We all know the affinity Apple has for releasing products on Tuesdays. The holiday season is coming up, and Apple has told retailers to get their last minute Mac orders in because inventories will be depleted soon. This is a clear indication that Apple has new products to introduce very soon. Perhaps at the rumored September 9th event. Sure, I know, this rumor started with Kevin Rose, founder of Digg. But it is growing as more and more and more Mac sites are getting tipped off. Even our favorite analysts, Gene Munster of Piper Jaffray, has a pending event in September on his mind, where he expects new MacBooks and MacBook Pros that include a line of industrial-strength eco-friendly case designs.
Yes Wilderness Investors, a perfect storm is coming our way, and I expect it to blow us all away with soaring stock prices, new products, and increased market share. Load up that dried powder!
